Classes

 

Our school was founded in 1975 as a true Preschool offering educational classes for young children. We have over 170 years of teaching experience represented on our staff.

Our goal is to provide an exceptional, relaxed, learning environment and curriculum that will foster the social, physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual growth of young children.

 

 

Our Classes Include:

Toddler Time:

Designed to offer children a loving and educational hands-on first school experience. A toddler’s ever expanding world is full of wonder and Toddler Time will provide each child with time to move, question, discover, share and learn.  

  • Ratio: This class has a 10:2 student to teacher ratio.
  • Class Schedule: This class is offered twice a week, either Tuesday & Thursday or Wednesday & Friday, and each class meets for two hours.  
  • Enrollment requirements: Children must be 30 months of age by Sept. 1 and must be toilet trained. 

 

Young 3 & 3-4 Year Old Pre-school:

Designed as a child’s first learning experience away from home. The program is flexible and activities are introduced as the children are ready.  Social development is heavily stressed in this program. There is one difference between a Young 3 class and a 3-4 class and that is in the ratio.  

  • Ratio: The 3-4 Pre-school class has a 14:2 student to teacher ratio while the Young 3 offers a 12:2 student to teacher ratio.
  • Class Schedule: This class is offered Tuesday & Thursday or Wednesday & Friday mornings.

 

Young 4 Preschool:

Aimed at a child turning 4 in summer or fall with previous preschool experience.  Many readiness skills are introduced during class, as well as, a strong emphasis on social development.  Several field trips are offered during the school year.

  • Ratio: The student to teacher ratio for this class is 14:2.
  • Class Schedule: It is scheduled in a 3-day, Monday, Wednesday & Friday, morning format.

 

4-5 Year Pre-K:

This Kindergarten readiness class is designed to prepare students for school. Subjects covered include early math and science concepts,  beginning writing, music, art, etc. This class provides field trips and events which bring subjects to life for students.

  • Session A
  • Feature: In these classes, children are grouped by their birthdays.
  • Ratio: This class has a 16:2 student to teacher ratio.
  • Class Schedule: Parents may choose between a morning or afternoon schedule.
  • Session B
  • Feature: In this class, students have a wider range of birthdays.
  • Ratio: This class has a 12:2 student to teacher ratio.
  • Class Schedule: This class is offered Monday, Tuesday & Thursday only.

 

Young 5 Pre-K:

A school readiness class for students turning five. Eligibility requirements are; one year of pre-school, writing his/her name independently and a readiness evaluation. This class builds on skills the child has acquired with emphasis on writing, science, math and personal responsibility. 

  • Ratio: The Young 5 offers a 16:2 student to teacher ratio.
  • Class Schedule: This class is offered in a 4-day morning format.
